Project Overview: My Beauty Tube is a sophisticated pay-per-view platform offering a curated selection of online beauty tutorials from licensed industry professionals. This project was designed to provide a seamless and efficient user experience, distinguishing itself from the plethora of unvetted beauty content available online.
Key Features and Technical Achievements:
- Preview and Purchase System: Implemented a feature allowing users to view a 6-second preview of each tutorial. Upon interest, they can purchase the full video, which is then added to their cart and subsequently to their account for viewing.
- Video Accessibility and Expiration: Once a video is purchased, it remains accessible in the user's account for 30 days. Post-expiration, videos move to an archive section where users have the option to repurchase or remove them from their account.
- Advanced Search and Navigation: Developed an intuitive navigation system, enabling users to easily locate specific tutorials. The inclusion of a robust search feature enhances the user experience by streamlining content discovery.
- Cloud Storage Integration: Utilized Amazon Cloud services, setting up a bucket specifically provisioned with privileges unique to My Beauty Tube website. This ensures secure and scalable storage of all video content.
- Video Duration and Quality: Ensured that each tutorial, lasting approximately 10-15 minutes, is of high quality, both in terms of content and video standards, aligning with the professional ethos of the platform.
User Experience Focus: The design and functionality of My Beauty Tube were centered around user convenience and quality assurance. By limiting the platform to content from verified professionals and simplifying the search process, the website stands out as a reliable source for quality beauty education.
